Make Your Club's Voice Heard—Assign Your Proxy
The Toastmasters 2018 International Convention is coming up from 22-25 August. As part of that, the Annual Business Meeting will be held on the morning of Saturday, 25 August, at the convention.
Whether or not you have members attending the business meeting, your club has the opportunity to weigh in on one proposal and several officer elections.

To make your voice heard, your club should: 1. designate a proxy to vote on your behalf, and 2. decide whether or not to instruct the proxy how to vote on your behalf. A proxy is the individual you select to vote on your behalf. Your club may designate as your proxy: a member of your own club, one of your district officers, or any other active individual member of any other member club. To designate the proxy who will vote on your behalf, your club president or secretary should log into the Toastmasters International website, go to Club Central, and click on Club Proxy in the Club Administration section. It is only the the club presidents and secretaries that can assign their club’s proxy for the business meeting at the convention. With respect to each proposal and candidate, your club may either (a) instruct the proxy how to vote on your behalf, or (b) leave your vote to the proxy's best judgment. If you wish to instruct your proxy how to vote in any of these matters, you should select your choices in the Club Proxy section as well. Be sure that your proxy knows that you selected them to represent you and that they received the notification email from Toastmasters after you selected them. Proxies will need this email in order to collect the necessary voting device at the convention.
